DEVELOPING AND MANAGING VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS
This is a library of resources related to development and management of volunteer programmes. You will find resources about a wide variety of topics, arranged in the order in which they might be needed in an organization that is starting a volunteer management programme.
This collection of resources is part of the Free Management Library (http://www.managementhelp.org/), designed, developed and maintained primarily as a volunteer effort by Carter McNamara of Authenticity Consulting (http://www.authenticityconsulting.com/) with assistance from the Management Assistance Program (MAP) for Nonprofits, (http://www.mapfornonprofits.org/) in St. Paul, Minnesota, USA.
Notable about the Free Management Library website is its commitment to user-friendly design: Minimal use of graphics; easy-to-find links to articles about both the basics of a topic and general resources about that topic; associating each topic with suggested links to related on-line discussion groups and other topics in the library; and easy-to-understand groupings of lists of links. Highly recommended for its ease of use and comprehensiveness.
